What you can pay with, how card details are handled, and what to do when a payment does not go through.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, along with PayPal. Available methods are shown at checkout for your delivery country, since a few local card schemes cannot be processed for every destination.
Your card is typed into the payment provider's interface, not ours. We receive an authorisation result and the last four digits.
With PayPal you complete the payment on PayPal's site and are returned here with the outcome. The order is created on our side in the usual way, and refunds go back to the same PayPal account.
All prices are in US dollars. Any conversion into your own currency is done by your bank at its rate, so the figure on your statement can differ slightly from the order total — that difference is the bank's fee, not a charge from us.
A declined payment usually means the bank wants to verify the transaction; a second attempt or a call to the bank normally clears it. A temporary authorisation may appear on your statement after a failed attempt; it is released by your bank automatically and no money leaves your account on a declined order.
Every page, including checkout, is encrypted in transit. The card form itself belongs to our payment provider, which means the number is typed into their interface and not into this site.
From our side an order shows a result, a total and a card ending, and nothing more. The full card number and security code are held by the payment provider and never enter our systems, so we will never ask you for them by email.
The first step is an authorisation, which reserves the total without taking it. The charge is only completed when the parcel is being prepared to leave, so a cancelled order is released rather than refunded.
A confirmation email is sent as soon as the order is accepted, and it doubles as your receipt. If you need an invoice in a company name or with a tax number on it, write to us and we will provide one. Ask us and we will issue it against the same order number.
Contact us before raising a dispute with your bank. Almost every unexplained charge turns out to be a pending authorisation from an attempt that did not complete, and it clears on its own within a few days.
A chargeback is handled between your bank and our payment provider. We supply what we have, and where a claim is upheld the refund is made through the provider to the original card.
Money goes back the way it came: the original card or PayPal account, nothing else. We cannot send a refund to a different card or pay it out in cash, because that is what prevents someone else claiming your money.
